PHILADELPHIA _ Gavin Hoffman doesn't take much delight from statistics, even if he did compile one of the best statistical seasons enjoyed by a quarterback in Penn's 124-year football history.
What he does take delight in, besides his home state of Minnesota, the Grateful Dead, movies, and the friends he has made at Penn, is winning.
While his numbers are down from 2000, Hoffman isn't complaining because the Quakers are 6-0, rank No. 18 in NCAA Division I-AA and appear ready to win their second straight Ivy League championship, a march they hope to continue on Saturday against Princeton at Franklin Field.
