COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. _ Loveland High School has been reinstated to the state football playoffs after the school suspended its head coach for the rest of the season and an assistant coach for one game after the players sprayed their uniforms with a nonstick cooking spray before last week's game.
The Colorado High School Activities Association had placed Loveland on restriction, which would have left it out of the playoffs.
CHSAA reinstated the team Thursday after learning the school punished coach John Poovey and assistant Tom McCormick.
McCormick bought the cooking spray, CHSAA spokesman Bert Borgmann said.
