SAN JOSE, Calif. _ Hazmat-suited workers hired by the federal government tested San Francisco's main mail processing center for anthrax on Thursday in the first such inspection on the West Coast.
Major post offices in San Jose, Oakland, Los Angeles and San Diego are also on a list of California facilities to be tested at the request of the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, although no dates have been set for those inspections.
