ENGLEWOOD, Colo. _ He is coming of age every week, gaining confidence by the game and earning the kind of awards that bring with them a considerable reputation. Yet Deltha O'Neal doesn't need to look far to be reminded that he's still a kid.

After all, being named AFC defensive player of the month for October might stroke the ego, but covering a legend like Jerry Rice is an instant reality check. When Rice was entering the NFL, O'Neal was wearing peewee football pads. So the Denver Broncos second-year cornerback, despite his accomplishments, knows he has a long way to go.
