Oct. 6--ANOTHER BAR TO OPEN IN ATHENS, GA.: Beau Samuel's nickname Boba Fett -- for the bounty hunter character in the movie "Star Wars" -- will serve as the name of downtown Athens newest bar.
"It seemed like as good a name as any," Samuel said. "There's no real theme to the place." Samuel expects to open Boba Fett at 142 N. Jackson St. in the former location of Frontier gifts. The bar will serve beer, wine and mixed drinks and Owning a bar is not a new experience for Samuel, who opened and later sold Velvet Elvis on College Square.
