With the cold winter chill upon us, it seems only natural to grab a piping hot cup of coffee or tea. But recent findings reported in the International Journal of Cancer suggest that the consumption of very hot drinks can raise the risk of esophageal cancer by as much as four times due to repeated thermal injury to the esophagus.
