NEW LONDON, Conn. _ The way Gary Kendricks figures it, it could have been worse.
Sure, it was unfortunate that an engine fire broke out aboard the 90-foot Gail Frances Friday morning as the fishing boat was heading back to Galilee, R.I., said Kendricks, who was one of 34 passengers and crew members on board at the time.
But, he added, it's not every day of the week that you're rescued by a historic three-masted Tall Ship.
