CHARLOTTE, N.C. _ After last winter's prime hunting conditions, Carolinas duck hunters will get another 60-day season with an Oct. 3 opening in North Carolina.
The N.C. Wildlife Resources Commission has approved a three-segment season that runs Oct. 3-6, Nov. 3-24 and Dec. 8-Jan. 19. Black ducks cannot be taken until Dec. 1; canvasbacks until Dec. 28.
S.C. hunters must wait until Nov. 21, with four days during the Thanksgiving weekend and a Nov. 26-Jan. 20 second segment. Canvasbacks cannot be taken until Jan. 1.
Bag limits in both states are six ducks a day.
