HOLLY HILL, Fla. _ What a difference a breakfast sandwich can make.
A few months ago, Patrick Collier and his fiancee Sandi Fabian were sleeping on cardboard boxes, homeless temporary laborers scratching out a hardscrabble existence on $50 a day.
Now, they're millionaires.
"Thank God for that sausage and cheese McMuffin," Fabian said Saturday afternoon, as she took a long swig from a cold beer bottle, celebrating the mountain of greenbacks her soon-to-be-husband instantly won Saturday morning at a Holly Hill McDonald's.
"I'm getting a Harley," Collier proclaimed, "and a couple of houses."
"And one for me. He always said he'd buy me a house," added his mother, Judy LaBounty.
The three share a small room at a motel across from the McDonald's.
