FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. _ McDonald's Corp. is going Latino _ test-marketing a Cuban sandwich and dulce de leche caramel sundae among several Hispanic dishes in select restaurants in South Florida.
The fast-food chain debuted the Latino dishes on Friday in 11 of its 275 outlets in Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach counties, planning to offer the items for about a month before reviewing results, said spokesman Michael Hillman.
On the menu: a Cuban-style sandwich, with pork, ham, Swiss cheese and pickles; a Latin-style omelet, with ham, cheese, diced tomatoes and onions; the dulce de leche sundae and a pineapple-mango dip for its chicken nuggets.
