STOCKTON, Calif. _ Marty Mornhinweg's blowup Monday at Detroit Lions camp may have stunned his new team, but not some of the 49ers.
Mornhinweg, the 49ers offensive coordinator the previous four seasons and now the Lions head coach, apparently put on quite a show Monday. That's when he threw his sunglasses on the ground, kicked his players off the field and rode away on his Harley Davidson during practice at Saginaw Valley State.
"Marty goes nuts like that all the time," 49ers left tackle Derrick Deese said. "You respect the guy because he speaks his mind."
