DALLAS _ John Madden is going to be a little out of his element on Aug. 4, when he joins Brad Sham as the guest analyst for the Cowboys' first exhibition game. He'll be in familiar surroundings, however.
Madden will work in the KVIL radio booth when the Cowboys open their season at Oakland. The Hall of Fame coach has never broadcast a football game on the radio, and his co-workers are already joking with him about surviving without his teleprompter.
"We knew everything would have to align just right for this to work," said Cowboys public relations director Rich Dalrymple. "It's going to be the old Raider coach, in his old stadium, in our radio booth."
