Now that Japan's Ichiro Suzuki has hit American baseball's major leagues with hurricane force, the question is this:
Who's the next Ichiro headed toward the United States?
"I don't know," said Jon Zuber, a former Campolindo High School and Cal baseball star playing in Japan for the Yokohama Bay Stars. "There are very few American guys who can match up to Ichiro."
In other words, major-league teams waiting for the next Ichiro could be in for a long wait.
On the other hand, Zuber said, there are plenty of Japanese players, particularly pitchers, who have major-league talent.
