Fort Worth, Texas, police officer Mark Thorne was a sluggish Christian whose marriage had hit a lull until he traveled to Pensacola, Fla., to a revival led by evangelist Steve Hill.
``When I heard Steve Hill, I was convicted of things that I (previously) thought were OK, such as (watching) movies that contained immoral scenes and bad language," Thorne said. "After we got home from the revival, my wife and I cleansed our house of videos that contained bad material and began focusing on a life of holiness. After we did that, everything that was wrong in our marriage turned around."
Thorne said Hill's fiery message of repentance transformed his marriage. The experience spurred him to become an elder and Sunday school teacher at Christ Church Assembly of God in Fort Worth.
He is one of thousands of once-lukewarm Christians who say that they were transformed after hearing Hill preach that Christian repentance produces lasting results.
