The 40 pro anglers who qualified for the 31st annual Bassmasters Classic on Aug. 2-4 at New Orleans represent 14 different states. Texas is sending nine anglers to the world championship bass tournament, Arkansas has five, California and Florida four each. North Carolina and Alabama each have three anglers in the Classic.
Five amateur anglers from B.A.S.S. Federation Tournaments round out the field to 45 competitors.
