Jul. 23--Does South Florida need another magazine to tout the New Economy?

Considering the demise of the dot-coms in South Florida and beyond, there may not be much of the e-conomy left to cover.

But Bernard Matz has a slightly different vision. He figures that if South Florida is to truly set itself up as the Internet Coast, it has to offer technical expertise as well as design talent.

"We have to offer more than connectivity," says the 35-year-old Matz, who started his own digital multimedia firm two years ago. "Silicon Valley has programmers as well designers."
