WASHINGTON--HVAC system efficiency can be increased up to 50% through proper installation, sizing, and maintenance. Buying efficient HVAC equipment is only part of the equation for saving energy, according to a document developed by the Consortium for Energy Efficiency (GEE).
In March, GEE rolled out Guidelines for Energy-Efficient Commercial Unitary HVAC Systems, a 42-page guide to energy-efficient installation practices for commercial unitary HVAC systems.
