Bernstein proves prophetic with win.(Knight Ridder Newspapers)
SONOMA, Calif. _Before Friday's qualifying began in the NHRA Division 7 Festival of Fire at Sears Point Raceway, Brandon Bernstein said he had the car to beat.
On Sunday, Bernstein backed his statement and drove the Budweiser Federal Mogul dragster to his fourth win of the season.
Bernstein drove the quarter-mile strip in six seconds. His opponent, Mark Niver, finished in 6.02 seconds.
