VILLANOVA, Pa. _ The Philadelphia Charge finally solved the Atlanta Beat defense, with very little time to spare in their WUSA game Sunday night. Liu Ailing headed in a bouncing pass from Deidre Enos in the third minute of injury time as the Charge played the Beat to a 1-1 tie in front of 6,185 at Villanova Stadium.
It was the Charge's first goal in three games against the Beat and gave them a needed point. The Charge (5-4-3) are now in third place with 18 points, with the top four teams getting playoff berths. The Beat are 5-1-6, two points behind league leader New York.
