DETROIT _ On a sweltering Tuesday evening, while other teens were enjoying their summer break, 14 young members of Rosedale Park Baptist Church in Detroit were facing down a challenge.
"How many of you have never been overseas before?" the Rev. Dan Hull asked, bobbing forward and back, hand always returning to the worn Bible on his lectern.
Most hands went up.
"Has the thought gone through your head that you are ill-equipped for this trip?"
The answer was swift and clear: "No."
A pause, then a couple voices piped up.
"Once." "Maybe."
