New Mexico college unveils program for nontraditional students.(around the nation)

New Mexico's Santa Fe Community College recently announced an innovative program of intensified financial, academic and social support for select nontraditional students. The "Contract for a Better Tomorrow" program will supplement traditional financial aid with biweekly stipends that the student may use for any purpose, as long as he or she stays in school.

Typical participants will be working parents who are currently enrolled part time at the school. The first 40 participants get textbooks on loan, tutoring, coaching and cash bonuses for high grades.
