DOD has issued a proposed rule to amend DFARS Part 237, Service Contracting, by relocating certain text to the DFARS companion resource PGI and deleting definitions and other text that are either no longer relevant or are adequately addressed in other regulations. Specifically, the proposed rule deletes the definition of "advisory and assistance services" at DFARS 237.201 because the definition is used primarily for budget reporting under 10 U.S.C. [section] 2212 and is adequately addressed in financial management regulations. The proposed rule also …
