GREAT EXPECTATIONS Most maternity clothes are horrible, and I don't want to spend lots of money on things I can wear for only a little while. After all, when you're pregnant, a good outfit will last only for about two weeks! I've relied on hand-me-downs a lot. My friend Kirsty Hume, the model, gave me some of her things, including a lovely peach Missoni dress.
MOTHER OF INVENTION I've had to be a little more imaginative. I wear a lot of dresses over pants, which I would never normally do-but it works. There are some vintage forties colorful print dresses that I've taken from the back of my closet, though I haven't worn them in ages.
BRIGHT EYES I've been wearing a lot of bright colors. Pink and blue C&C
California T-shirts in bigger sizes than usual, with
tank tops underneath . . . and little Dosa slip dresses
in pink, purple, and red
