From princesses to prizefighters, the holders of great titles understand that there's nothing like a little polish every once in a while to keep things glowing golden. So a new radiance will be applied this spring to the annual fund-raiser for the Metropolitan Museum of Art's Costume Institute (the "Party of the Year," as it was crowned by assorted social powers back in 1948).
