WASHINGTON, April 27 (UPI) -- A study by researchers in Korea adds to evidence that shows genetic testing could someday help doctors decide which drugs work best for which patients.
The study, in the May issue of the peer-reviewed journal Diabetes Care, found people with type 2 diabetes respond differently to the same medication depending on their genotype or genetic makeup.
Rosiglitazone, marketed as Avandia, was given to test subjects for 12 weeks without changing their current medications.
