Aug. 18--TRINIDAD, Colo.--It may be a sign of the times, but Las Animas County can't seem to decide how many feet are too many for construction of new advertising signs along Interstate 25.
The issue became almost comical last week when Mattorano Homes told county commissioners it had received state approval to erect a 200-square-foot, 35-foot-high ad billboard on 5 acres it owns about 400 feet from Interstate 25, 2 miles north of the Trinidad city limits.
The new sign would be the company's second along I-25.
But the Trinidad-based manufactured home company can't seem to get approval from the Las Animas County…
