Two San Luis Obispo County, Calif., Hospitals to Provide Flu Shots.(Knight Ridder/Tribune Business News)
Dec. 6--Two hospitals in the county will hold flu immunization clinics for high-risk people Saturday as health-care providers work to get the vaccine to those who need it most.
One clinic will be held at Sierra Vista Regional Medical Center in San Luis Obispo from 8 to 11 a.m. in the auditorium. The other will be at Twin Cities Community Hospital in Templeton from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in Modular One. Both clinics are free.
A severe shortage of the influenza vaccine caused the county health agency to turn away hundreds of senior citizens from eight clinics held throughout the county since Nov. 27, said Barbara Schwenoha, coordinator of the county's immunization …
