Dec. 6--CAMDEN SITE GETS PRESERVATION NOD: Bowater Timber, Katawba Valley Land Trust and Palmetto Conservation Foundation will announce a major achievement in historic preservation at 10 a.m. Thursday at the site of the Battle of Camden in rural Kershaw County.

The site to be protected has been called the most significant unprotected Revolutionary War battlefield in the country. The event will begin with a press conference and continue with a tour of the site.
