ATLANTA _ Georgia Tech coach George O'Leary lost his best friend and offensive coordinator in one fell swoop Wednesday when Ralph Friedgen accepted the head coaching position at Maryland.
With Friedgen building a lake house not far from O'Leary's in Putnam County, the two will maintain their friendship. The big question is whether the Yellow Jackets will be able to maintain the offensive excellence they enjoyed under Friedgen.
