Nov. 28--CIGNA HEALTHCARE REACHES CONTRACT TERMS WITH HCA: After a nearly two-month lapse, Cigna HealthCare of Florida has reached agreement on a contract with the state's largest hospital chain.
Terms were not disclosed for the two-year contract between HCA-The Healthcare Co. (HCA) and Cigna, an HMO with 136,000 members statewide, including 28,000 in South Florida.
The contract between the hospital chain and the HMO had expired in October after the two sides could not agree on payment terms, leaving HMO members unable to use HCA's 42 Florida hospitals or affiliated health centers statewide.
Those hospitals have now rejoined the Cigna network. …
