LAS VEGAS _ Promoters billed Lennox Lewis' heavyweight title defense against David Tua Saturday the "Royal Rampage." With their height differential _ Lewis, at 6 feet 5 inches, is seven inches taller than Tua _ it could have been called "David vs. Goliath."

In this case, Goliath entered the ring as a 3-1 favorite. But the boxing cognoscenti acknowledged that David had a knockout stone in his slingshot left hook. The question was whether Tua could penetrate Lewis' long reach, powerful jabs and uppercuts. He would have to do so to put his power in Lewis' face.
