Sep. 24--If you find yourself yearning for nouveau soul-food cuisine, take heart.

Some of the premier black establishments have their sights set on South Beach, lured by developers who are eager to open restaurants that will add the Southern flavor already sizzling in other major cities.

Five chic restaurants -- in various stages of negotiations -- will bring a new dimension to the hip-but-limited South Beach dining scene.
