Aug. 15--Members of the Allied Pilots Association picketed outside the American Airlines terminal at Miami International Airport Wednesday afternoon, airing their dispute over stalled contract negotiations.

About 24 uniformed pilots carried bilingual signs, "AA Pilots seeking to avoid a strike," "Defending the Profession," "AA passengers may need to Rebook Future Flights," and "AA Pilots continue flying 713 days without a contract."

American and the pilots union have been negotiating a contract for two years. Pilots started "informational picketing" in May, and plan to continue picketing today in Fort Lauderdale.
