May 30--More than one in every three employers in Sacramento are allowing workers to go casual -- dress down, as it's known -- one day a week or at least once a month, according to a survey.

On those days, workers are leaving dress shirts and ties, skirts or business suits and high heels in the closet and showing up on the job in blue jeans, sports shirts, blouses and athletic shoes.

By far, Friday is the most popular day for workplaces that have a weekly dress down, according to the survey of more than 80 em ployers by the Sacramento office of Norrell Staffing Services, a temporary help firm. For those allowing it once a month, typically it's the last day of the …
