Apr. 17--Riverside Health System plans to build a retirement community that will offer a variety of housing and health-care options.

The project, to be built north of Riverside's hospital on West Central, will cost $20 million to $22 million, said Robert Dixon, president of Riverside Health System.

It will include duplexes, an independent-living center with 75 apartments, an assisted-living center with 35 apartments, a 45-bed nursing home, a 25-bed Alzheimer's disease and dementia unit, and a fitness center.
