So ordinary that when a couple of normally savvy L.A. radio reporters walked by, they ignored the star in their midst and started joking with Van Damme's breakfast guest. When they realized their embarrassing mistake, they backed away from the table, bowing and apologizing as they went.
Their mistake was understandable. Wearing glasses and affecting his speak-softly-and-carry-no-stick manner, Van Damme resembles Clark Kent more than he does Superman.
