Krzyzewski says it may take awhile longer for Duke to regain status in ACC.(Originated from Knight-Ridder Newspapers)
It's going to take time.
That was the forecast this week from Duke coach Mike Krzyzewski, responding to questions about the state of the Blue Devils and their effort to get back on their feet in the ACC.
The Blue Devils go to Virginia on Saturday, trying for a fourth time to get their first conference victory. No matter how they fare at University Hall, it's the long haul Krzyzewski is referring to.
Duke (9-5 overall, 0-3 in the ACC) has not been that far from the mark since the league season began. It had double-figure leads before losing by three points (to Clemson), five (to Georgia Tech) and three (to Wake Forest).
