Sept. 23--Starting next week, Commerce Bank of El Dorado will become part of the larger Commerce Bank of Wichita.
As of Monday, customers of the El Dorado bank may apply for loans, make loan payments, cash checks and make deposits at any of Commerce's 14 branch locations in Wichita, Arkansas City, Derby, Hutchinson and Winfield.
Through the consolidation of the two banks, customers in El Dorado also will have access to 16 automatic teller machines that the Wichita-based bank operates in the area.
Until now, the $100 million bank in El Dorado, the largest in Butler County, operated under a separate charter. Both banks are owned by Kansas City, Mo.-based…
