DCHT Signs Volume Deal with Daido.(Brief Article)(Statistical Data Included)
DCH Technology (DCHT, 27811 Avenue Hopkins, Suite 6, Valencia, CA 91355; Tel: 805/775-8120, Fax: 805/257-9398) and Daido Metal Co., Ltd. (2 Sanage-Cho, Kita-ku, Nagoya, 462-0852, Japan; Tel: 81-52- 913-1161, Fax 81-52-915-1822) are joint-venturing to manufacture and sell portable and stationary fuel cells in Asia. Daido is a high-volume production manufacturer of precision components.
The initial target will focus on the production of small portable fuel cells, ranging from less than 1-w to 50-w units. The automated production line will be located in a section of a $12 million, 50,000-ft.2 manufacturing plant under construction in Japan. The joint venture will also encompass future production of larger fuel cells for stationary applications.
