Business people used to be the only ones who used mobile telephones. Now, folks from students to retirees have mobile phones in their pockets and purses as well as their cars.

And therein lies the rub. ...

Residential users like the safety and convenience of mobile phones _ but some don't like to look out their kitchen windows and see cellular phone towers looming over their streets.

Don Stephens thinks a new cellular phone tower near the Buster Boyd Bridge on Lake Wylie is out of place and unsightly.

Stephens uses a mobile phone, but that doesn't temper his opinion.
