STATESVILLE, N.C. _ Wringing her hands and pausing for long periods, a retarded Statesville woman testified Tuesday that she had sex on New Year's Eve 1992 with an Iredell County teen while three other teens watched.

She was the first person to testify against Jonathan McNeil Horn, one of five teens accused of sexually assaulting the then-19-year-old woman more than two years ago New Year's Eve and New Year's Day and videotaping the acts. Horn, now 20, is the first defendant to be tried.

Prosecutor Patricia Bruce skipped her opening statement Tuesday after about five hours of jury selection and called the woman to the stand first thing.
