Oct. 10--LEVITAN HAILED FOR LEADERSHIP, SERVICE: When he's not counting beans, Woody Levitan can often be found volunteering for one organization or another.

Levitan, managing partner of accounting firm Levitan, Yegidis and Goldstein LLP in the Town of Wallkill, has been a fire chief and a chamber of commerce chairman.

No wonder, then, that Levitan has received the inaugural Michael H. Urbach, CPA Community Builder's Award. The award recognizes his achievements as a leader of community organizations.
