Sep. 22--CHEYENNE, Wyo. -- If you apply for a loan, bank or credit union officials will probably look at your credit score.
If you're looking for a job, your employer also may check your credit score.
Even with the growing importance of the credit score, a national survey released Tuesday shows that many people don't understand what credit scores are and how they are used.
