I have a discouraging word or two about "Home on the Range."
It's not a bad cartoon, but it's not a very special one. Although "Home" was made by Disney, it has a Warner Bros.-Looney Tunes feel to it, with bright colors, geometrically improbable angles, puns a-flyin' and speedy, slightly surreal action.
Unlike the Disney greats ("The Lion King," "101 Dalmatians"), "Home" has a tossed-off, casual quality, particularly in its inconsistent animation. It's fine while it lasts, but it doesn't stick with you, and there's no deeper meaning than what is instantly apparent.
Still, the script is funny, smartly balancing ...
