What should I do about the hair on my breasts?
Q: I'm a 13-year-old female and have noticed some black hairs in my nipples. I'm worried that when my breasts start to grow, the hair will grow too. Should I shave it off, or will it just grow back hairier?
A: First let us reassure you that your breasts are normal and it is very common to have hairs growing around your nipple area. How much is usually determined by heredity. When your breasts begin enlarging during puberty, the hair growth may actually lessen due to the effects of increasing estrogen levels.
