Mar. 13--Like many people topping off their gas tanks this week, Jean Parker doesn't doubt price gouging is occurring somewhere along the supply line.
The Salem, Ala., housewife and mother of four children also knows the surging cost of fuel has cut into her family's budget. It already has forced Parker to postpone a driving vacation to her hometown in northeast Texas. On a daily basis, she works to trim gas usage to keep from filling up her 2003 Dodge Caravan more than once a week.
