PHOENIX _ Michael Weiner, general counsel for the Major League Baseball Players Association, labeled false a published report that said the association was resisting taking part in a proposed drug summit with the Bush administration.
"It's not accurate," Weiner said Monday after union officials held their annual spring training meeting with the Milwaukee Brewers at Maryvale Baseball Park.
"We haven't been asked to participate. At some point, I'm sure we'll talk with the administration."
