LOS ANGELES _ Just as Emile Hirsch's latest film, "The Girl Next Door," is hitting theaters, the actor is busy getting bumped and bruised for his newest film, Catherine Hardwicke's ("thirteen") newest venture, "Lords of Dogtown," based on the documentary "Dogtown and the Z-Boys" about a group of street skaters in 1970s Venice, Calif.
Hirsch, himself a Venice native who has "skated for years," plays Jay Adams in the film, which starts shooting at the end of March.
