LOS ANGELES_Blake Edwards, backstage after receiving his honorary Oscar, says he's a bit disappointed that he's not involved with the recently-announced revival of the "Pink Panther" film series.
Edwards directed seven films between 1963 and 1978 starring Peter Sellers as the bumbling Inspector Clouseau. Even Sellers' son, Michael, says he doesn't think Steve Martin should try to revive the role made famous by his father as MGM studios continues plans for "The Birth of the Pink Panther."
