CLASSICAL CROSSOVERS: Scandinavian singer Sissel may be anointed the "female Josh Groban" on the basis of her "My Heart" album (Universal Classics). Her gorgeous voice floats effortlessly between pop and classical crossover worlds, the former polished by producer Richard Marx and the latter featuring the London Symphony Orchestra. Grade: A-
Acoustic guitarist Dominic Miller, known from his work in Sting's band, shows off his classical training on the graceful "Shapes" (Decca), essaying Bach (with trumpeter Chris Botti sitting in) and Shubert. The Sting-ster pops up to perform on a slightly different treatment of "Shape of My Heart," which he co-wrote with Miller, and also trills with Placido Domingo on "Ave Maria." B+
HIP-HOPPED UP: English DJ Just Jack (Jack Allsopp) debuts stateside with "The Outer Marker" (TVT), sampling the likes of the Cure and 10 C.C. B
